Groundbreaking Work on the $24.2M Great Barrier Reef Arena Stage One Project

The $24.2 million dollar Stage One Great Barrier Reef Arena commenced in September 2021, with Seaforth Civil being selected by principal contactor Paynters to undertake the civil earthworks and drainage.  Finishing in November 2022, the project delivered a new covered grandstand, facilities for elite players, match officials and broadcast TV crews, with room to house an audience of 10,000 people.

Seaforth Civil’s involvement in the project covered the following scope:

  • Bulk Earthworks including building pads and detention basins
  • Concrete Footings and Building Foundations
  • Stormwater
  • Roadworks
