Barton Street Drainage Upgrade
Mackay Regional Council engaged Seaforth Civil for the construction of the stormwater upgrade for Barton Street, West Mackay and includes the drainage upgrade through a section of Holland Street, across Lagoon Street and drains to Lagoons Creek Wetlands near the Mackay Botanic Gardens.
The following aspects formed part of the work package:
- Excavation of Launch & retrieval pits, 12m x 6m x 8.5m deep, within the road corridor & Botanic gardens including shoring of excavations.
- Installation of new stormwater structures including 1000 series pipe jacking 90LM, hand laid 1050 pipes to DN375 pipes, Cast instiu & precast pits and kerb inlets.
- Installation of HG35 GPT structure -8.5m deep
